Elite Air Adds Third Florida-Based Legacy

Elite Air has been managing Legacy jets for more than a decade, and the company has now added a third to its charter fleet. The new Legacy 600 will be based in Central Florida, along with the first 600 ever to join Elite Air’s fleet and the Legacy 650 the company added several years ago.

“Legacy 600s are simply wonderful, charter friendly aircraft, and I should know, I’ve been flying them for years,” said Elite Air CEO Gray Gibbs, who received his Legacy 600 type rating more than 15 years ago.

The Embraer Legacy 600 heavy class business jet has a range of up to 3,200 miles, making it capable of traveling from New York to Los Angeles, New York to London or Los Angeles to Honolulu. The aircraft features a fully enclosed lavatory, full-service galley and seating for 13. Its price-point is significantly lower than comparable heavy jets.

The Legacy 600 new to the Elite Air fleet features complimentary domestic wireless internet, a cabin attendant and the Honeywell Ovation Cabin Management System. The aircraft was manufactured in 2006 and refurbished inside and out in 2017, which introduced several modern interior features. In 2019, the jet’s previous owner added new quartz countertops, metal trim plating, LED lighting, and custom acoustic soundproofing by Skandia. Its wireless internet is provided by a GoGo Avance L5 high-speed broadband system, and an Alto surround sound system and two GoGo Vision systems complete the cabin.

“This aircraft has been babied since it was manufactured. Customers will love it,” Elite Air President AJ Becker said.
