Mike Auchampau Wins Internal Callsign Contest

Elite Air recently held a competition among employees to generate a unique callsign for the company. Michael Auchampau, human resources director, won the contest and a $500 gift card prize.

Operators like Elite Air can apply to the Federal Aviation Administration for unique callsigns to be used when air traffic control refers to the operators’ flights. Elite Air’s request for a unique callsign is still under review, and the name will be revealed once approved.

Regardless of FAA’s decision on the callsign, Auchampau was tapped as the winner of the internal contest for his unique suggestion.
